If the Main administrator wants to perform a bulk upload for all their school(s), go to Management > People & Rosters and select the one you’d like to use. This is the easiest way to get all of your schools, adults in their different roles, classrooms, and students rostered into Typing Agent. There will be no need to follow the examples below, but you may opt to read them for guidance because the same principles apply.
Adding Classes
Classes help you organize students into classrooms, assign class-level work, review progress, and manage rosters. Teachers and administrators can create classes when their role and school permissions allow it.
Open the Classes Page
Sign in to your Typing Agent Version 6 account.
Select Classes from the left navigation menu.
The Classes page displays:
Total classes
Students enrolled
Students who may need attention
Class status and recent activity
Available filters and search tools
Add a Class
Step 1: Select Add Class
Select + Add Class in the upper-right corner of the Classes page.
A menu will open with four ways to create classes. Choose the method that works best for you.
Step 2: Choose a Class-Creation Method
Add one class
Use this option when you need to create a single class manually.
Select Add one class.
Enter the class name.
Select the appropriate grade. (We assign that grade-level keyboarding curriculum to this class automatically.)
Choose the teacher who will manage the class. (If you haven’t created a teacher yet, please do so using that Staff button to add one or more. By taking this step first, you can then assign the classroom to the correct teacher right away.)
Review the information.
Select the option to Create & Add Students or Create Class to save it.
Best for: Adding one new classroom or creating a class during the school year.
Add many classes
Use this option to create several classes at the same time.
Select Add many classes.
Enter or paste the class names.

.csvfile.Upload the file to Typing Agent.

Correct any missing or incorrectly matched information.
Confirm the upload to create the classes.
Best for: Creating a large number of classes from an existing school spreadsheet.
Before uploading: Check that class names, grade levels, and teacher information are spelled consistently. Clean data helps prevent duplicate or incorrectly assigned classes.

Select Sync from Google Classroom.
Sign in or confirm the connected Google account when prompted.

From the class code area, you can:

Resetting a code makes the previous code unavailable. Share the new code with students who still need to join.

Before archiving:
Confirm that students no longer need to use the class.
Open the class action menu.
Select Archive Class.
Read the confirmation message carefully.
Confirm the action.
To bring the class back, filter the list to show archived classes and select Restore from the class action menu.

Use roster-source filters when troubleshooting a synced class.
Expand a class row for a quick overview before opening the full roster.
Archive classes that are no longer active instead of leaving them in the main class list.
