As a School Administrator, should you want students at particular grade levels to take a specific test on a specific date, you can create customized tests just for them. You may use our texts or create your own. Whatever you choose, it will be served up for your students at that grade level to do on that day. These tests are called Scheduled Tests because you determine the date students are to take it and content of these tests. (Note: These tests are given during school hours only so check and adjust your Time Settings in your School Management area, should you want students to do these tests as homework.)
Grade Level Scheduled Test
Before moving on, know that this Grade Level Scheduled Tests area serves two purpose. It is used to:
1. Create tests; and
2. Identify which student(s) did not take the test.
How you create and issue a Grade Level Scheduled Test
To schedule and administer a Grade Level Scheduled Test, hover over your Admin button. Then, select School Management from the drop-down list.
Now, select the Grade Level Scheduled Tests tab.
Press the green + Create New Scheduled Test button.
Once at the menu, you can choose to either compose a scheduled test, or you can choose to use one that is already in the program (i.e., Home Row, Top Row, etc.) or one that you’ve already created.
To create a new scheduled test, press the green + Create New Custom Test button. You can then use the text box to compose this for your grade.
To use one either previously created or pre-made, select the blue paper icon next to the test name to issue it.
Once you’ve got everything chosen or written down, you can opt to preview your test. Press the blue Preview button to preview the test as a student will see it..
If all looks well, select the grade(s) you would like to issue this test to, the time limit, the dates available and the maximum number of attempts and press Save.
When the student logs in, they will see the test before anything else on their screen.
Viewing Completion Progress
As the test is in progress or even when the time to do the test is finished, you may want to see which students did not do it as yet or at all. This information may be helpful in following up with your staff: You have specifics of who didn't do the test and possibly come up with solutions to permit them to take the test(s) in the future.
As aforementioned, you will find information concerning who did not do your test in the Grade Level Scheduled Tests area. To get there, remember to click on your Admin button then on in the top right then on the Grade Level Schedule Test button. Once you do that, you get a list of the tests that you've given. Here's a snapshot of my screen and the information for my Grade Level Scheduled Tests area:
Notice that you're given the Start and End dates, Test Name, Grade, Status, By Whom (who assigned the test), and icons to view (who didn't do the test), edit and delete the test.
How Do I see the Test Results?
Like with all of our curriculums, where grading is concerned, you do that in the Reports area. School Administrators have two places they can click on. Should they want generally how each grade level did in the test, they click on Reports at the top. From the page you see, select Grade Level Scheduled Test.
From here, under Select Report, scroll and find the Grade Level Scheduled Tests option.
From here you select to review results by all so you have all results in one place. Now, click the View Individual Scores button.
A list of your tests will appear at the bottom of the screen with a line for each grade level you assigned the test. From here, click the eyeball and you'll get the general Accuracy, Speed, and Adjusted Words Per Minute results of your test for that grade level.
Should you want to see the results for a specific classroom, click on the classroom on the left, then Reports, then click Grade Level Scheduled Tests, then click the eyeball on the right that corresponds with the test that you want to see. You will get the individual results for each student and as a point of comparison, you'll see the average results for the whole grade level at the top of the graph. Here's an example of what you see:
Should you see scores, but no "Completed On" , this can mean one of 2 things:
Your student still has attempts remaining for them to take the test. Because you may have set a certain number of attempts, your student may not have done all of them. They will need to signal that they're done with the testing from their interface.
Your student has not met the targets therefore they would not have "completed" it up to standard. (Notice we still give you their best results in terms of Accuracy.)
In order to show a "Completed On" field, your student will need to take all their attempts, or meet their target until the due date has passed.
Class Level Scheduled Test
Sometimes, you want only one classroom to do a test. This is called a Class Level Scheduled Test. To issue a Class Level Scheduled Test, select your Class from the left window under your dashboard.
Now, select the Class Level Scheduled Tests tab.
Press the green + Create New Scheduled Test button.
To create your own content in your scheduled test, use the text box to compose this for your grade and begin typing.

How will students access the Scheduled Test?
When students to whom the Scheduled Test is assigned log in, the test will appear immediately on their screens. They will be forced to do it before moving on to any other activity.
