While we have designed the length of each lesson to fit grade-level standards, you may have students who require shorter lessons. If this is the case, then you can easily adjust it so that they don't receive a lesson that's too long for them.

First, hover over your Admin button and select your School Management tab.

Then, select the Grade Settings tab.

Now, you can select a grade level from the drop-down menu.

Once you've selected your grade level, scroll down to the Lesson Settings section.

In the text box that reads Maximum Character Count, enter the maximum number of characters you'd like your students to have in their lessons. When you're finished, hit Save.

For reference, here is our recommended list of characters by grade level:
โ€‹
โ€‹K = 2WPM therefore they need 2 x 5 = 10 characters 70% accuracy needed
Grade 1 = 5WPM therefore they need 5 x 5 = 25 characters 80% accuracy needed
Grade 2 = 10 WPM therefore they need 10 x 5 = 50 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 3 = 15 WPM therefore they need 15 x 5 = 75 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 4 = 20 WPM therefore they need 20 x 5 = 100 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 5 = 25 WPM therefore they need 25 x 5 = 125 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 6 = 30 WPM therefore they need 30 x 5 = 150 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 7 = 35 WPM therefore they need 35 x 5 = 175 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 8 = 40 WPM therefore they need 40 x 5 = 200 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 9 = 45 WPM therefore they need 45 x 5 = 225 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 10 = 50 WPM therefore they need 50 x 5 = 250 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 11 = 55 WPM therefore they need 55 x 5 = 275 characters 85% accuracy needed
Grade 12 = 60 WPM therefore they need 60 x 5 = 300 characters 85% accuracy needed
