When using Typing Agent, your account will fall under one of the following categories known as a role. Each role has certain capabilities and a slightly different interface.
- District Administrator
- Standalone Single School Administrator
- School Administrator
A District Administrator profile is assigned to each district (multi-school) account, and is often (at least initially) the person who signed up for the account. This person has complete control to add, edit, and remove any data from the program. They are responsible for getting all data loaded into Typing Agent, whether they manage that centrally or delegate responsibility to School Admins or Teachers.
If you are a District Administrator, you can expect your interface to look like this:
Standalone Single School Administrator
Standalone Single School Administrators have complete access to view, create, edit, and delete data in the School that they manage. The permissions will be of that of a District Administrator as well as a standard School Administrator.
If you are a Standalone Single School Administrator, your interface will look like this:
School Administrators have complete access to view, create, edit, and delete data in the School (or Schools) they're assigned to. They can also assume all teacher privileges to their school's individual classes.
If you are a School Administrator, your interface will look like this:
A Teacher can view, create, edit, and delete all data directly assigned to them, including Classrooms and Students. They cannot see any Classrooms and Students assigned to other Teachers or School Admins.
If you are a Teacher, your interface will look like this:
A Student is able to login and interact with the programs' student interface, using the application and all curriculums assigned.
If you are a Student, your interface will look like this*:
*Note: Depending on which skin is set for the background, the display may vary. Curricula displayed may also vary depending on what has been assigned to the student.
