What is Digital Citizenship?

The goal of digital citizenship courses is to empower students to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in the digital world. This includes:

  • Online Identity
  • Communication
  • Cyberbullying
  • Research & Copyright
  • Security & Internet Saftey

Typing Agent provides two tools that can be used to discuss Online Identity, Communication, and Cyberbullying.

In both tools, teachers have absolute control over their use and the content generated when using them. Even when a student deletes an in-app email from their view, the teacher can still see it.

Spymail is an in-app email program that can be used to teach students proper email etiquette and that digital words live long after they’ve been “deleted.”

By default, a student can only email their teacher. From the Social tab in your Class, you can enable students to email each other or disable it entirely. If enabled, students can only email other students in their Typing Agent class.

Agentbook is a social networking platform that allows teachers to post a message to their in-app wall on which students can then comment.
