As a school administrator, you may want to manage the different curriculums that Typing Agent has to offer. You can view an in-depth tour of the curriculums, or you can assign certain grades or classes their curriculums by default, meaning that when a new student in the grade or class is created, they will have a certain set of curriculum available to them. You can also allow students to have access to certain curriculums on an individual basis.

Viewing Curriculum:

From your dashboard, select Curriculum.

From here, you’ll be greeted with a list of each available curriculum that Typing Agent has. Click on the button containing the number of lessons underneath the one you’d like to view in order to view all the lessons within it.

Now, you’ll be able to see each lesson. If you click on the title of the lesson, you’ll be able to view the contents of that lesson.

As a note, the “filter by path” option is exclusively available to Keyboarding Foundations 3+ and Keyboarding Foundations K-2). This is due to the fact that the results of each student’s placement test will redirect them to a different path depending on their performance. For more information on placement tests and paths, please click here.

Assigning Curriculums To Grades:

From your dashboard, hover over your Admin button and select School Management.

From here, select the Grade Settings tab.

Now, select the grade you’d like to set curriculum for.

Select all the curriculums you’d like to be default to that grade.

When you’re finished, scroll all the way down and press Save.

Assigning Curriculums To A Class

First, select your Class.

Then, select the Settings tab.

From here, select the Curriculum tab.

Now, find the curriculum you’d like to enable.

Click the Assign All button to assign it to all students. A checkmark will appear on that button to show it is activated. You click Remove All should you not want all students in that classroom to do this curriculum.

Some curriculums are available only after students have successfully completed a certain number of lessons well. You can override our default settings by adjusting the number of Experience Points (stars) required for students to unlock the curriculum. Enter 3 in the Exp Points field so that students must complete two keyboarding lessons successfully, then select Assign All. Once they finish one or two lessons, that curriculum will automatically open for them.

Assigning Curriculums to An Individual Student or Group of Students

First, select your Class.

Then, click your Students tab.

Select the check box next to the student(s) to trigger the fly-out menu. From here, select Curriculum.
